Azumi is hands down one of the best Samurai action movies to date. Following the battle of Sekigahara the Tokugawa shogunate assigns a Samurai to create an assassin squad to kill Toyotomi's supporters. Azumi is chosen for this squad at the age of 8. She is brought up with the skills of a Samurai and Shinobi sword fighting. Don't let Azumi's beauty fool you she is a talented assassin, and with her double bladed sword can tear through any number of warriors.

This is a hand made replica of the Azumi's sword. The sword is expertly crafted and features the triple ring scabbard design, and blade on the handle.

Features

Blade: The blade of the sword has been hand made with High Carbon Steel. The Carbon has been hammered out through the blade so that it has a universal hardness throughout the entire blade. A Bo-Hi has been added to the top of the blade to even out the weight and give audible feedback. The sword comes full tang with an Chu-Kissake.
Saya: The Saya is wooden with a black high gloss finish. The end cap and scabbard throat are blackened copper. Tied around the Kurigata is a black cotton wrap. Three silver rings decorate the scabbard, as seen in the movie.
Tsuba: The Habaki is a one piece brass construction. The Tsuba is blackened copper with the double ring Musahsi design, exactly the same as seen the movie. Two copper Seppas secure the Tsuba.
Tsuka: The Tsuka is a wooden core with an imitation ray skin Same. A black cord Ito has been wrapped around the Same. A single bamboo Mekugi secures the tang of the sword in the handle. The Kashira is removable to reveal a dagger. The dagger is threaded and can be screwed onto the handle of the sword.

This is the only sword for this movie I could find all over the internet! The sword is built with a very tight construction, there's no clanking noises to be found on the sword itself. The scabbard is made of light wood, and plastic decor, the bottom guard is made from cheap aluminum. The dagger is best stored screwed to the handle with blade pointed out for solidity. The dagger basically falls out if stowed with blade inside the handle since there's no measure of keeping the blade sheathed. The sword gets a 5. The scabbard gets a 2 but it comes with a sword bag so maybe a 3.
