Item Specs

A Damascus blade is one of the most easily recognizable blades. The signature trait of the steel is the watermark. Damascus steel was first created in the Middle East between 900 and 1750. The steel was the solution to a sword that was both extremely hard and soft. This is a combination of one of the best process of sword making and one of the best styles of sword.

The blade has been authentically created By forge folding, giving it a look similar to Damascus. All of the fittings are genuine materials, created in the old style. The sword can be completely disassembled for cleaning and maintenance.

The Katana includes a Silk Sword Bag.

Features

Saya (Scabbard): The saya has a black lacquer high gloss finish. The sageo is black silk, wrapped over a brightly polished Kurigata. The Koiguchi is black bull horn.
Tsuba (Guard): The Habaki is a one piece brass construction over a copper Seppa. The Tsuba is in a Maru Gata style with lipped rim and a pattern of Ume Blossoms and vines. A Kozuka Hitsuana is on one side of the guard and a Kogai Hitsu-ana on the opposite side.
Tsuka (Handle): The Fuchi is a beautiful scene Ume blossoms and vines. The Tsuka is hardwood wrapped with Same and black silk Ito. Brass Menuki are found on each side of the Tsuka. The tang is secured by two bamboo Mekugi. The Kashira has another Ume Blossom in aged bronze.
