Description Item Specs   Damascus Look Steel Shirasaya Tanto Dagger Knife Overall Length:9 " Blade:Sharp Blade Length:5 " Blade Material:High Carbon Steel Handle Length:4 " Handle Material:Wood Saya Material:Wood Condition:Brand New Features Blade: The blade has been constructed from high carbon steel by pattern welding, a technique similar to the lost damascus steel technique. Each layer of the knife can be clearly seen. The cutting edge of the blade has been given an authentic hamon with the clay method. The signature of the sword smith has been engraved on the base of the blade. The blade comes full tang with a sharp edge. Saya: The Saya of the Tanto has been constructed with wood with a dark natural finish. The Saya fits seamlessly onto the Tsuka of the Tanto. Tsuka: The Tsuka has been constructed form the same dark wood as the Saya. when the Tanto is sheathed it appears as one solid piece. A tang pin secures the tang of the blade into the Tsuka. Looks beautiful, small for my hand February 4, 2011 Reviewer: Jason shrader from Fuquay-varina, NC United States   This thing looks really nice. The unsharpened part of the blade has an unfinished look to it and it says china on one side. I got it wicked sharp and it is super solid but the handle is a little small for a big hand.
