Item Specs

The buckler came into wide spread use from 1100-1600. Although, the shield was simple, it was still highly effective at both defense and offense. Typically the buckler was used in tandem with a rapier, falchion or arming sword. The shield could quickly deflect attacks allowing for a quick counter strike. The shield could also be used to punch opponents. This shield weights about 10 lbs.

Features

-The shield has been constructed from solid wood with a steel boss and fittings.
-The boss and steel fittings have been secured with rivets.
-The rim of the shield has been reinforced with steel.
-The wood of the shield is 0.75 " thick.
-The shield features an arm band and handle.
-A chain allows the shield to be easily hung on the wall.
