The Tsuba and fittings of the Katana are recognized as the most artistic part of the traditional Samurai sword. Most Tsubas and fittings were created separate from the blade by Kodogu whose lives were spent creating the sword fittings. In this day and age, when swords have become obsolete for survival, the Tsuba has become a collectors piece for serious to novice sword collectors.

This is the complete Katana fitting set. The set includes the Tsuba, the Fuchi, the Kashira, a set of Menuki, and a velvet lined wooden gift box.

Features

The Tsuba and fittings are constructed from alloy.
The Tsuba is an intricate design of two Japanese style Lions circling each other.
The Tsuba is solid featuring a Kozuka Hitsu-ana and Kogi Hitsu-ana.
The Fuchi is a lion in relief with Sakura branches.
The Kashira is another lion with sunbursts.
The Menuki are beautifully detailed crouching lions.
The Tsuba and Fuchi are both signed by the smith.

I actually have a sword that came with these fittings, and they are high quality. The tsuba is on the heavy side. But the detail is excellent, and I love the menuki, they are also very detailed and original.
