The Sakura has always been closely associated with the Samurai. The Sakura blossom is beautiful but with a very short life span, very similar to the Samurai. There are legends of the Samurai questing after this blossom. They would go through unimaginable hardship to find the perfect Sakura Blossom.

This is a hand forged Mother of Pearl Sakura Katana. The blade of the sword has been hand made, full tang, and comes sharp. The Saya of the Katana is wooden with a red lacquer finish. A branch of Sakura blossoms have been inlaid into the Saya with mother of pearl.

Features

Blade: The blades have been handmade with 1050 through hardened carbon steel. A forge folded pattern and bo-hi have been added to the blade. The sword comes sharp and full tang.
Saya: The saya is wooden with a red lacquer finish. On each side of the Saya are Sakura Blossoms. The Sakura Blossoms are inlaid mother of pearl. The sageo is black cotton.
Tsuka: The tsuba is steel with a cut out design. The fuchigashira are blackened alloy with sakura blossoms. The ito is black cotton over ray skin samegawa. The menuki are alloy in a sakura blossom design. The tang is secured by a single bamboo mekugi.
