Musashi fought around 60 duels in his life time, and never lost one. For the majority of the duels Musashi used only a wooden bokken. In many cases he crippled or even killed his opponent with the bokken. In his most famous duel, with Sasaki Kojiro, he carved a bokken from a boat oar and overtook Sasaki, who was wielding a Nodachi. It is no wonder that Musashi is considered the greatest swordsman in the world. Each sword comes with an individual serial number on the tang and certificate of authenticity.

Features

The blade is through hardened for resiliency and features a aesthetic hamon.
The sword comes full tang and very sharp. It's an excellent cutting sword.
Saya: The saya of the sword is wooden, deeply lacquered a dark black with a high gloss finish. The scabbard includes a black cotton sageo wrapped over the bright brass kurigata.
Tsuba: The tsuba of the sword is lovely oxidized brass with the sukashi cucumber design Musashi made popular. The guard begins with a brass blade collar and ends with a brass fitting featuring ropes and anchors in relief.
Tsuka: The tsuka core is wooden with authentic ray skin and black cotton ito. Two bamboo mekugi secure the tang in the tsuka. The two menuki are blackened oxidized brass created in the likeness of dragons and highly detailed.
