This is footage from Jonis test cutting with the Nisshoku.

The Nisshoku features a standard 29 " Saya and 23 " blade. When the blade is sheathed it appears to be a full length katana. This illusion, compounded with the light weight of the blade makes for lightening fast Nukitsuke. The Shinobigatana can be used either one or two handed. The blade is perfectly weighted and very tough T10 Steel.

This is a limited production with only four available for sale.

Features

Blade: The blade of the Shinobigatana has been constructed from T10 steel in a Maru lamination. The hamon has been authentically created and features a Doran design with a strong Nie line.
The Kissaki is a Chu-Kissaki design with a Ko-Maru turn back.
The blade comes full tang and Razor Sharp.
Saya: The Saya features a high gloss black finish and brass Kurigata.
Tsuka: The Tsuba has been constructed from black steel in a Sukashi design. The Tsuka features a double pinned Mekugi and steel Menuki. The tuska is covered in white same (ray skin) and wrapped in black chemical fiber ito.

Jonis' first look is accurate, the blade isn't very sharp, won't split hairs, but it is sharp enough to make cuts with good technique. There is a slight rattle in the saya, but then it is a short blade in a full-length saya. My blade still showed marks from machine polishing with a couple minor scuffs. The tsuka is tight when mounted, the ito could be a bit tighter, the ray skin same are panels glued on. The tsuka core, though intact, is inletted about an inch deeper than the length of the nakago, something to keep in mind when cutting that the last couple inches of the grip is not supported by the steel. I love the tsuba, it's thick and solid, but peened on the underside to fit the blade. Overall a good blade for the price for someone like me who just has to have a 'ko-katana'.

Very nice, super fast, light weight sword. Would make a great starter sword for your kid, or someone who prefers a short Katana.
