This is the Handmade Munetoshi Lion Dog T8 Katana Samurai Sword RD. The blade of the katana has been constructed from through hardened T8 carbon steel. The sageo is blood red chemical fiber with golden shitodome. The tsuba is blackened steel with a lion dog theme.

Although the blade does have substance, the short balance point makes the sword extremely responsive in its handling. The sword is appropriate for medium traditional targets.

The Lion Dog is ideal for beginning to intermediate practitioners who seek a medium weight sword.

We also offer the katana in brown and red.

The Katana includes a sword bag, certificate of authenticity, spare seppa, and mekugi.

Features

Detailed Specs of the Katana:
Blade: The blade of the katana has been constructed from through hardened T8 carbon steel. There is slight niku on the ha and a chu kissaki. The sword is capable of taking on medium traditional targets.
The blade comes full tang and very sharp.
Saya: The saya features a glossy black lacquered finish and bull horn koiguchi. The sageo is blood red chemical fiber with golden shitodome.
Tsuka: The tsuba is blackened steel with a lion dog theme. The tsuka features two smoked bamboo mekugi. The ito is blood red alternating chemical fiber over black lacquered ray skin samegawa. The fuchigashira and menuki are copper with a lion dog theme.

Another solid offering from Munetoshi.This company continues to impress.I own several Munetoshi katana and am very happy with all of them.This kat is well built and razor sharp.Simple yet good fittings and ito.Ito maki is very tight and alternating diamonds.Good fit to saya in the one I own.Nice weight and balance, its a great cutter.Blade is very tough with a very good temper.I enjoy using this sword both in the backyard and in the dojo.Munetoshi continues to produce very good pieces at good prices.
