Our Usagi is a gorgeous and functional sword, featuring sukashi rabbit and moon tsuba, Ryujin menuki and bamboo fuchigashira. It also features black ito and sageo as well as genuine samegawa. But it’s more than just a pretty face. This sword is able to take on heavy targets as well as trick cuts with the same amount of ease. The traditional crisp geometry allows the blade to be extremely precise. The durable 1095 carbon steel construction insures that the blade is fully capable of taking on multiple rolled tatami omote mats as well as green bamboo.

Features

Detailed Specs of the Katana:
Blade: The blade of the Katana has been constructed from 1095 carbon steel. The hamon has been authentically created and features a Midare pattern with a prominent Nie line and traches of Choji. The Kissaki is a Okissaki (long kissaki) with a Midare-komi turn back.
The blade comes full tang and very sharp.
Saya: The Saya features a glossy black lacquered finish and bull horn Koiguchi and brass Sakura blossoms. The Sageo is black chemical fiber in Shigeuchi style.
Tsuka: The Tsuba is blackened iron in a sukashi rabbit and moon design. The Tsuka features two smoked bamboo Mekugi. The Ito is black chemical fiber. The menuki are brass in the shape of Ryujin. The samegawa (ray skin) is authentic and is white. The Fuchigashira are iron and feature bamboo.
