This is the Munetoshi Silk Soshu Kanji Japanese Sword Bag. The bag features Soshu Kanji brocade against a deep blue silk background. Soshu Kanji is highly stylized and very ornate.

The sword bag is made of beautifully brocaded silk with Soshu Kanji on a deep blue/green background. A soft yellow silk has been used to line the inside of the bag for superior protection against scratches. A yellow tassled cord is included for securing the bag. The bag has been embroidered with both the kanji and English for the brand name, Munetoshi. This bag will fit most Japanese swords.

Lovely textile, but apparently not silk	August 29, 2011

The fabric in this bag is beautiful, but exposing some loose threads to a flame shows that these are synthetic, not silk. I'm not disappointed, as at this price I fully expected a synthetic fabric, and in hand they are as beautiful as they appear on line.
