This is our limited edition Tsunami Kigan. The tsuka of the katana has been expertly rewrapped by our tsukamakishi. The original red ito has been upgraded to Lohman Tsunami ito and wrapped in a hinerimaki style. The Lohman Tsunami wrap is extremely durable, comfortable, and provides an excellent non-slip grip. A deep brown sageo has been added to the saya to match the ito. The samegawa has been re-lacquered to give it a glossy black finish and the lion dog menuki replaced with tsukushi (edible Horsetail) menuki.

The blade is still the same durable T10 6 series model, which means it can take on heavy targets as well as trick cuts with the same amount of ease.

Features

Blade: The blade of the Katana has been constructed from T10 carbon steel. The hamon has been authentically created and features a gunome design with a prominent nie line. The kissaki is a chu-Kissaki design with a midare-komi turn back.
The blade comes full tang and very sharp.
Saya: The saya features a glossy black lacquered finish and bull horn koiguchi. The sageo is deep brown chemical fiber.
Tsuka: The tsuba is blackened steel in a sukashi prayer wheel design. The tsuka features two smoked bamboo mekugi. The ito is Lohman Tsunami in a hinerimaki style with hishigami. The menuki are alloy with a tsukushi theme. The samegawa (ray skin) has been re-lacquered in glossy black. The fuchigashira are antiqued alloy.
