Cutting Test

The Nisshoku features a standard 29 " Saya and 22" blade. When the blade is sheathed it appears to be a full length katana. This illusion, compounded with the light weight of the blade makes for lightning fast Nukitsuke. The Ko Katana can be used either one or two handed. The blade is perfectly weighted and very tough T10 Steel.

Features

Detailed Specs of the Katana:
Blade: The blade of the Ko Katana has been constructed from T10 steel. It features a clay-tempered notare hamon.
The Kissaki is an Chu Kissaki with a Ko-Maru turn back.
The blade comes full tang and Sharp.
Saya: The Saya features a high gloss black finish and Brass Kurigata.
Tsuka: The Tsuba has been constructed from black iron in a Sukashi moko design. The Tsuka is double pinned with bamboo mekugi and features brass menuki. The Samegawa is authentic with ray skin and is underneath correctly alternating black cotton ito.

Nice sword. Light, fast and precise. I'll try cutting harder targets to realize how tough is the blade. Three stars just because the fittings are fine, but could be better.

Got one of these a couple weeks ago and wanted to wait til I put it through some tests before writing a review.

This sword is fantastic. Real hamon, excellent quality steel. The fit & finish are excellent. Tsuka ito is tight and high quality synthetic silk, there is no rattle in the saya and the sword does not fall out when turned upside dawn. The tsuba is not loose and the blade is true with no wobbles and the edge is sharp enough to shave with.

I have cut nearly a hundred soda bottles, milk jugs and tatami mats since I got it and the blade still cuts them like butter.

You will not find a better shinobi blade for the price anywhere. I cannot recommend this blade enough.

nice hamon tsuka wrap is tight and feels great and cuts even better must have for every ninja can't beat the price i even cut a four roll with ease don't think about it buy it you won't be sorry:)
