Description   The Ko-Tosho style of Tsuba first made its appearance in the Muromachi Period. The design of the Tsuba is very simple with a round disk design and cut out work. The word Tosho means sword smith, however, this does not necessarily mean that the tsuba was created by a smith. It is more a reference to the actual style of the Tsuba. This Tsuba is hand made of oxidized copper in the old tradition. The Sukashi is a butterfly with a standard sized Nakago-ana out in the middle. The Tsuba is a Maru Gata style. The Tsuba comes in a wooden collectors box with a red velvet lining.   Features 3.375" X3.375", thickness .25" This Tsuba has been fitted for most of our hand made series, and all of our Hand Forged Musashi series.
