This is the Tai Chi Kung Fu Chinese Jian Spring Steel Sword. Built for serious practitioners, this jian has been forged with perfect balance and flexibility. The blade of the jian has been constructed from spring steel with a chrome finish. The red tassel features three jade fittings.

Features

Attributes of the Weapon:
Blade: The blade of the jian has been constructed from spring steel with a chrome finish. A ridge runs through the jiangen and zhongren, reinforcing the blade and keeping it stiff. The jianfeng tapers down allowing it to remain flexible. The balance point of the jian is right at the guard making the sword very responsive.
Engraved into the jiangen are Chinese characters for Tai Chi.
Scabbard: The scabbard of the jian is hard wood with a natural finish. The drag and scabbard throat are polished brass with a simple design. The carrying cord is braided chemical fiber.
Guard: The guard is polished brass with a forward pointing short wing design.
Handle: The handle is natural hardwood with a brass pommel. The red tassel features three jade fittings.
The jian includes a wooden gift box.

Good for Kung Fu/Wushu forms to practice	February 8, 2011

This Chinese Jian has best balance ever, normally , the Chinese Jian balance point should be about 3~4 inches from guard. This one, is right at the guard making the sword super easy to control. You will not feel your wrist get sore that easy. The blade is spring steel, but feel very close to wushu steel. And it is super shine. Guard is wing design, so, it will not hurt your hand when you use high speed on the sword. Very good for stage show usage. Or use on wushu competition. I will say, it is the best for people practice Jian forms, this one even better than the official weapon. .......but, the price.........is kind of too high......otherwise, there is not thing I can complain about it.
