The Dragon has been a symbol of power in many of the world's cultures. The Samurai were no exception to this. The sword was the Samurais source of power and contained his soul. So with this in mind why not make the sword out of the most powerful creature in lore. This sword can be completely disassembled for maintenance.

Note: Sword stand & red gift box are not included.

Features

Blade: A bloodline has been added to the ridge of the blade for better balance. The yokote is well defined above the boshi and the kissake is razor sharp. The sword has perfect balance and is full tang. The blade comes battle ready and very sharp.
Saya: The scabbard of the sword is wooden with a dull black gloss finish and shiny highlights. The sage-o is burgundy cotton tied around a golden kurigata.
Tsuba: The Tsuba begins with a golden Seppa and Habaki. The Tsuba itself is oxidized copper in the form of two dragons intertwined. The tsuba is maru mimi style with the Kozuka Hitsu-ana and Kogai Hitsu-ana on each side.
Handle: The handle of the sword is full tang with one mekugi and a ray skin wrap. Over the ray skin is a burgundy cotton cord wrap with a menuki on each side. The Kashira is oxidized copper with a fish in relief.

The quality of the weapon is unique for the price. I am more than pleased and pleasantly surpised.Very sharp is an understatement. It is very, very sharp.

Very sturdy fairly shar. The ito feels somewhat cheap and comes loose easily but I wasn't expecting much considering the price. Great practice sword cuts smooth.

I contacted SnA and they didn't know what forge produced this sword. It arrived in an unmarked black box (except for the sword's advertised name and some inventory numbers) and the blade was heavily oiled. I believe this sword has been in this box for a very long time. All of the fittings appear to be brass and were slightly tarnished. The blade is magnifiscent and perfectly sharpened. Although wire brushed, after careful polishing, I started to notice a very nice hamon. The ito appears to have absorbed some of the packing oil, but can be easily cleaned. The fittings brightened very easily with Never Dull. The saya is textured with a gloss finish, but I plan on doing a full rattan wrap. There is only one mekugi, and after intensive effort to remove the tsuka, I think this one may be epoxied. Excellent value for the money! This was a very good purchase and yet another example of why SnA is an outstanding company to do business with.

This is the best sword i have bougth for this price range by far!!!! Its balance was supirior, it felt increnibely study...Almost unbreakable, and it was Razor MOTHERF##king sharp!! Had a really nice swing cuts amazingly, and again best within its price range for me (from 50$-200$) even beats my 170$ Folded steel in tameshigiri.
