The Gladius is known as the sword that conquered the world. Although, the name of the sword brings to mind the gladiators of Rome, the Gladius was rarely used by the gladiators (the gladiators sword was shorter than the gladius). The Gladius was the sword of Roman soldier and Centurion. The soldier would wear the sword on their right side, so that when the sword was drawn in a group no one would accidentally be cut, and the Centurion would wear the sword on the left side. The Gladius was one of the most vicious swords ever created.

Features

Blade: The blade of the sword is 440 stainless with an unsharpened edge and sharpened point. The blade has been constructed with the traditional cross section rhombus design. The blade has a mirror polished finish.
Scabbard: The scabbard is wooden with a black leather cover. The scabbard throat is golden steel with two carrying rings. The drag of the scabbard has a cut out design with a ball point tip.
Guard: The guard starts with a steel fitting securing the blade to the handle. The actual guard is wooden with a light finish.
Handle: The handle of the sword is wooden with four finger grips. The pommel of the sword is also wooden and can be disassembled.
