The Gladius is known as the sword that conquered the world. Although, the name of the sword brings to mind the gladiators of Rome, the Gladius was rarely used by the gladiators (the gladiators sword was shorter than the gladius). The Gladius was the sword of Roman soldier and Centurion. The soldier would wear the sword on their right side, so that when the sword was drawn in a group no one would accidentally be cut, and the Centurion would wear the sword on the left side. The Gladius was one of the most vicious swords ever created.

This sword is a beautiful reproduction of the Gladius. Great attention was paid to the detail of the scenes on the scabbard and handle.
