functional February 15, 2011 Reviewer: Jonathan Martin from Orlando, FL United States   I need to start off by saying that for the price this is pretty good. It looks nice, comes with a cheap case, and is real damascus as advertised. It is functional, the blade has a tang and pegs and is secure, though I am not sure how far into the handle it goes. I think 4 star is appropriate, this just isn't 5 star though. Here is why. Poorly sharpened. (but dangerous and easily fixed.) A 3 inch long section is poorly polished where the rough grit makes layer lines hard to see. Layer lines are lower contrast than in the pictures. And last, the fittings look old and worn instead of pristine like the pictures. Was this review helpful to you?
