This is a traditional Kung Fu style broad sword. The Chinese broad sword was first made popular in Kung Fu movies and is the favored sword of Chinese Martial Arts. This sword offers more than the average sword. The sword was made in Long Chen, a city of China that has been known for their superb quality of swords since ancient times. The sword is ornate enough to be used for display, but has the balance and feel of a professional practice sword.

Features

Blade: The blade of the sword is carbon steel with a non sharpened single edge. The steel of the blade has been created in the traditional Kung Fu style of spring steel. The blade is flexible enough to bend almost 90 degrees and not loose its shape. Engraved into the steel at the base of the blade is a kanji.
Scabbard: The scabbard of the sword is wooden with a dark stain. A golden steel fitting is the end cap of the scabbard. Two more steel fittings make up the carrying strap. The scabbard ends with an ornate scabbard throat. A kanji has been engraved into the scabbard.
Guard: The guard of the sword is golden steel and fitted to secure the sword while in the scabbard. The guard ends with a steel fitting securing the guard to the handle.
Handle: The handle of the sword is wooden. The handle ends in a solid steel pommel with gold and red sashes. The sashes are held on with a threaded steel fitting for easy removal of the sashes.
Your can see this sword a lot in the Kung Fu movie and martial arts schools. Using this sword is a must learn skill for buddas in Shao Lin Temple. This is a sword that can be used for display by hanging on the wall or for practice.

The blade is thin since it is only meant for practice. The sheath has an odd fit at times and can be a little bit difficult, but overall no problems. But like I said, this broad sword is for form practice.

Great demo sword for the price. Even the sheath is nice. This is the second one I bought for our school, and this one has a very loose handle and handgaurd that I'm currently repairing. But still, for $35 can't be beat.

this is my first time order this item at swordnarmory company, because the price is really good deal. Usually I get this item for about $70 and need to + shipping cost. But for sure, the item has manufacture pass sticker. When I get this sword from swordnarmory, the item didn't have the manufacture pass sticker, and it has some tiny problems. If you don't care those tiny problems, this is a best deal ever, I will recommend to buy it from swordnarmory. Since I just get 1 before, I don't know if I order more, what other problem may show up. But so far, those problems wouldn't eftect my practice. Just when I look it, don't feed perfect of the item.
