The Chinese sword is as much a piece of art as the Japanese Katana. However, the Chinese sword never found the acclaim of the Japanese sword. This is especially interesting due to the fact that records of sword production date back to the 4th century and most major conflicts of the sword era were won by hand to hand combat.

This is the Spring Steel Bat Chinese Tai Chi Sword. This Tai Chi sword is a very light spring steel for maximum flexibility. It's fantastic for Tai Chi forms and competitions.

Features

Attributes of the Weapon:
Blade: The blade of the sword is spring steel. The edge is unsharpened for practicing forms safely. It features carvings on each side of the blade.
Scabbard: The scabbard of the sword is wooden with a varnished finish. It is decorated with copper bats at the drag, throat and hangers. The hanger is a chain.
Handle: The handle of the sword is wooden, matching the scabbard. The pommel and the guard feature bats, completing the theme. The pommel also has a dual red tassel.

This is really an odd piece, but for the price, you cannot miss out. The "Lucky Bat" pommel, hilt guard and copper-toned fixtures on the scabbard are beautiful, nice tight construction. The stained and sealed wood scabbard is a compliment to wood room decore. The flexible blade is light, but very sturdy, and makes for tai-chi exercising.

it is a good price, just need some work, such as glue it and tight it better. And it is good 1 for beginner for practice the Chinese Jian forms. balance is ok, about 4 inch from guard. recember use some wood oil on handle and scabbard, that will make the sword looks much better and more value.
