This is the Spring Steel Dragon Jian Tai Chi Martial Arts Sword. The blade of the sword has been constructed from Spring Steel with a shallow ridge. Engraved into the steel of the sword is a dragon on one side and kanji on the other.

Blade: The blade of the sword has been constructed from Spring Steel with a shallow ridge. Engraved into the steel of the sword is a dragon on one side and kanji on the other.
Scabbard: The scabbard of the sword is wooden with a clear stain finish. The drag of the sword is bronzed steel with a complex pattern of dragons. The suspension rings feature a gold chain.
Guard: The guard of the Jian is the traditional swooped wing design. The center of the guard is a dragon.
Handle: The handle of the sword is wood. The pommel of the sword is another bronzed fitting. Two red tassels have been hung from the pommel of the sword.

Overall quite attractive. The lacquer on the scabbard has some bubbling, so the finishing was not detail oriented. Balance seems good. Overall a good deal for the money. I like the spring steel for durability and it is also much more substantial than a wushu blade.

Scabbard and scabbard detail were far greater than any other tai chi sword I have previously ordered/bought. The blade is thin like the others, but still work great for practice. Not really meant for any cutting at all.
