The Katana is perfect for training and cutting. This sword was created specifically to take on tameshigiri.

This Katana was hand forged and crafted authentically in all aspects of its creation. All the fittings and parts are genuine material. The balance of the blade is perfect and the sword is completely functional. This is a masterpiece of recreating the ancient Katana.

This Katana Includes: Sword Bag, Certificate of Authenticity, and Nylon Carrying Bag.

Features

Attributes of the Sword:
Blade: The blade of the sword has been constructed from T10 High Carbon steel in a Maru Lamination. In accordance with Japanese tradition, the blade has been treated with a clay covering, applied to the entire sword except the cutting edge. The blade is then heated and quenched in spring water. The combination of the quenching and the clay cover creates a significant temperature difference in the Ha of the blade and the rest of the sword. The hamon is authentic and all the way up to the tip.
The result is that the Ha cools much more quickly than the rest of the blade, the molecules of the Cutting edge expand and push back the softer steel of the blade creating the traditional Japanese curve.
The blade features Chu-Kisske. The tang of the sword has been dated and given a serial number to prove authenticity.
Saya: The Saya has been constructed from wood with a high gloss maroon lacquer finish. A black synthetic silk Sageo has been tied around the bright copper Kurigata. The Koi-guchi is bull horn.
Tsuba: The Tsuba begins with a brass one piece Habaki. Two copper Seppas secure the blade of the sword. The Tsuba is the double ring design in iron.
Tsuka: The Fuchi is black iron with a plain design. The Tsuka core is wooden with a Ray Skin Same and black chemical fiber Ito. Two Bamboo Mekugi secure the tang of the sword into the Tsuka. Two bright copper Menuki decorate each side of the Tsuka. The Kashira is polished black iron with two copper fittings.
$65 Retail Value Sword Carrying Bag: The carrying bag is tough black nylon with a zipper and shoulder strap. The inside of the bag has been lined with fleece and padding. A extra pocket has been added to the outside of the sword bag.

Realy nice sword but not razor sharp or HRC63 as advertised, instead it was HRC60 and has a slight bevel on the cutting edge.
I'm sure with a light polish it will be great.
Great value and I would buy again :D

The Light Cutter is an extremely well-done sword in between this price range.
it is a fast and yet strong blade with an overall good finish. The red saya version looks amazing. The ito and the sword fittings are great.

I've put the Light Cutter through a 3-tatami-target cutting test and it performed really nice.

I even tested it in the backyard with a few boxes. Went through them like butter. Only con was I did not recieve the cert of autheticity. Since its a modern made piece and not an achient artifact, I really dont care.

I am happy and will use sword n armory again.

This katana was recommended after getting the Matsu and from other brands I now have, the Light cutter is my favorite and most reliable sword I believe in. These guys at Sword N Armory know what there talking about and honest to the point they'll recommend other brands if need be to satisfy your needs.
Plus, you won't find a better sword for the price you pay for this T-10 Light Cutter.
It cuts like no other sword I own, even vs. my $400 Hanwei katana.

The Habaki,Tsuba, and Seppa becomes loose after a few carton cut. The sword doesn't seems to be super straight anymore. Could any one tell me how to tight those up?
