The Katana is perfect for training and cutting. This sword was created specifically to take on tameshigiri.

This Katana was hand forged and crafted authentically in all aspects of its creation. All the fittings and parts are genuine material. The balance of the blade is perfect and the sword is completely functional. This is a masterpiece of recreating the ancient Katana.

This Katana Includes: Sword Bag, Certificate of Authenticity, and Nylon Carrying Bag.

Features

Attributes of the Sword:
Blade: The blade of the sword has been constructed from T10 High Carbon steel in a Maru Lamination. In accordance with Japanese tradition, the blade has been treated with a clay covering, applied to the entire sword except the cutting edge. The blade is then heated and quenched in spring water. The combination of the quenching and the clay cover creates a significant temperature difference in the Ha of the blade and the rest of the sword. The hamon is authentic and all the way up to the tip.
The result is that the Ha cools much more quickly than the rest of the blade, the molecules of the Cutting edge expand and push back the softer steel of the blade creating the traditional Japanese curve.
The blade features Chu-Kisske. The tang of the sword has been dated and given a serial number to prove authenticity.
Saya: The Saya has been constructed from wood with a high gloss black lacquer finish. A black synthetic silk Sage-o has been tied around the bright copper Kurigata. The Koi-guchi is bull horn.
Tsuba: The Tsuba begins with a brass one piece Habaki. Two copper Seppas secure the blade of the sword. The Tsuba is the double ring design in iron.
Tsuka: The Fuchi is black iron with a plain design. The Tsuka core is wooden with a Ray Skin Same and black chemical fiber Ito. Two Bamboo Mekugi secure the tang of the sword into the Tsuka. Two bright copper Menuki decorate each side of the Tsuka. The Kashira is polished black iron with two copper fittings.
$65 Retail Value Sword Carrying Bag: The carrying bag is tough black nylon with a zipper and shoulder strap. The inside of the bag has been lined with fleece and padding. A extra pocket has been added to the outside of the sword bag.

I got the Light Cutter a few days ago and I'm liking it so far. The blade is very sharp, with a great hamon. It is a little heavier than I was expecting. The Ito is pretty bad. It is frizzy and frayed in places, and it does not alternate correctly on a couple of the cross-overs. The fittings are OK. Better than the ones that came on my Take. The extra sword bag is a very nice addition. A nice overall piece. Would buy again.

Very nice handling. Very sharp! Beautiful hamon.Tight ito. Nuthin fancy but very functional. Tested with double tatami and proved an effortless cutter. Only 1 minor problem with saya fit. The saya is not shaped quite right; upon re-sheathing the blade tightens up before the habaki reaches the koiguchi.

This katana is well constructed as is all the Munetoshi line. Simple lines and fittings, built all to perfection. The added nylon carry bag is a geat added value. Just holding this sword makes one feel confident that its up to the task according to your skills. Add this katana to your collection and you will not be disappointed.
