The Katana is perfect for training and cutting. This sword was created specifically to take on tameshigiri.

This Katana was hand forged and crafted authentically in all aspects of its creation. All the fittings and parts are genuine material. The balance of the blade is perfect and the sword is completely functional. This is a masterpiece of recreating the ancient Katana.

Features

Attributes of the Sword:
Blade: The blade of the sword has been constructed from differentially hardened T10 and features a chu kissaki and slight niku. The hamon is a midare style and clearly defined.
The blade is capable of medium tameshigiri.
The blade comes full tang and very sharp.
Saya: The Saya has been constructed from wood with a high gloss black lacquer finish. A black synthetic silk Sage-o has been tied around the bright copper Kurigata. The Koi-guchi is bull horn with a dished design.
Tsuba: The Tsuba is blackened steel in a cut out sukashi design of a pine tree (matsu).
Tsuka: The Fuchi is black iron with a plain design. The Tsuka core is wooden with a Ray Skin Same and black chemical fiber Ito. Two Bamboo Mekugi secure the tang of the sword into the Tsuka. Two bright copper Menuki decorate each side of the Tsuka. The Kashira is polished black iron with two copper fittings.

Outstanding service from these guys, they shipped out the sword the next day the order was placed (at midnight), and it got here on the next. The sword feels very solid and everything looks great with it. The only drawback of this sword is the blade sharpness, it is sharp, but no where near razor sharp, you have to work hard to shave off some hair.
