Hector is the ultimate tragic warrior. He was one of the nine worthies and, unlike Achilles, was not only known for his skill as a warrior but also for his noble nature. When Hector was leading the Trojan army, they were able to push the Greeks back multiple times. Despite Hectors skill on the battlefield he was doomed by the gods. Patroclus, disguised, as Achilles was killed by Hector. This lead Achilles to reenter the war and in turn kill Hector. Once Hector was killed it was inevitable that Troy would fall to the Greeks.
