This is the US Civil War Calvary Officer's Saber Sword Sabre. The blade of the sword has been constructed from 440 stainless steel with a slightly sharpened edge. The scabbard throat and drag are golden steel. The guard of the sword is a full wrap design with "US" worked into detailed scrollwork.

Blade: The blade of the sword has been constructed from 440 stainless steel with a slightly sharpened edge. A complex pattern has been engraved into the blade with the American seal on one side and "US" on the opposite side.
Scabbard: The scabbard of the sword is steel with an imitation leather cover and two suspension rings. The scabbard throat and drag are golden steel.
Guard: The guard of the sword is a full wrap design with "US" worked into detailed scrollwork.
Handle: The handle is imitation leather with a twisted wire wrap and golden tassel.
