This is a perfect example of the sayanuri (saya lacquering) we offer at SNA. This was a custom order for the SS-673BLT. The saya has been re lacquered with a purple pearl finish. The pearl finish not only adds depth to the saya but also a color changing affect when exposed to certain light. The original black chemical fiber ito has been replaced with Japanese imported white silk in a hinerimaki style. The original sageo has also been replaced to match the white silk ito.
