Item Specs

The Main Gauche first came into being during the Renaissance at the height of the Rapiers use. It was a dagger created specifically to deflect thrust attacks from swords. The Main Gauche could also be used as a weapon when an opening presented itself. In French the words Main Gauche translates to "left hand."

Note: The long rapier is sold separately.

Features

Blade: The blade of the Main Gauche is 440 stainless steel with a ridge line down the center and a short ricasso. The blade is mirror polished and comes slightly sharpened.
Scabbard: The scabbard is wooden with a dull gloss black finish. The drag and scabbard throat are bright polished steel. A belt bolt rests on the scabbard throat.
Guard: The guard is a trident style with a long cross arms. The quillon features a ring design.
Handle: The handle is black rubber with a wire wrap. The pommel is polished steel in the same style as the LP-5918.
