Item Specs

The fan looks like a very docile object. However, this was one of the tools a Japanese commander would use during battle. Since the fan was a large object it was easily seen from a distance. Very similar to flags, the fan would be used to signal troops movements during the heat of a battle. Only a commander could carry a fan and so this also became a symbol of stature.

Features

The fan is made of heavy paper and wood.
Painted across the fan is the Kanji for Musashi.
The design of the paper is crests from some of the most legendary houses of Japan.
The fan can be used functionally or for decoration.
Comes in collectors box with a securing band.
