The Raptor Unokubi-Zukuri (Cormorant�s Neck) blade design (also called Nagamaki Naoshi) is patterned after the shape of the Nagamaki, the powerful long-handled weapon popular between the 12th and 14th centuries. Notable for the strongly relieved shinogi-ji and diamond-shaped kissaki, the Unokubi-Zukuri provides excellent balance in a strong cutting blade.

Several of the sensei's and iaidoka at my dojo already have these, so it was a fait accompli when I purchased mine. Everything is as expected. :-)

Outstanding sword! It's cool to get something that's so different and no Crapy fake Hamon! Just a sharp super cutter with a cool look to it. They seem to be hard to find but these guys had one and I was lucky enough to buy it.
