The arming doublet was used to secure items of plate armor to the body. It represents the end-point of the evolution of padded armor.
The cords are called arming points and are used secure items of maille and plate armor to the doublet. This method ensures that all the items of harness act as one with the body to provide ease of moment.
Padded cotton is closed in the front with lacing and brass tips. Extra lacing are present on the doublet by which armor can be attached to it. Its interior is lined with cotton felt.
It is a period correct model of a 15th century arming doublet. This is during the time of the Renaissance.
Very flexible construction that allows you to move around freely without causing the armor to pull up.
