Product Description

The Emperor Samurai Katana Sword is a higher grade katana meant for use for the practitioner. It comes with a certificate of authenticity, and is guaranteed to cut tatami. It is tightly wrapped with hishigami in hineri-maki or battle wrap and is differentially hardened to produce a hard edge with a ductile body. The saya is partially wrapped in samegawa and has buffalo horn fittings. The sword has a very commanding presence when swung and is a perfect piece for display.

Blade: The blade has been constructed of forge folded 1085/1055 steel. The hamon is notare midare and the blade has been polished to a mirror polish using japanese water stones. The masame folding pattern is clearly visible.

Saya: The saya has a black gloss finish with a buffalo horn koiguchi, kurikata, and kojiri. It has a thick ivory colered silk sageo with white brass shitodome.

Koshirae: The habaki is made of white bronze with white bronze seppa and a brass tsuba of a shishi lion dog. The fuchi and kashira are made of brass and feature a lion dog design. The ivory silk ito is wrapped tightly over white samegawa with hishigami in hineri-maki style and the menuki are brass lion dogs.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
