Item Specs

The dragon is one of the few universal legends. Herodotus reported seeing flying beasts in Persia, Marco Polo recorded being attacked by dragons on the Arabian Peninsula. Cultures with no contact and oceans between them share similar legends of dragons. It remains an enigma that has sparked scientific investigation and fantastic speculation.

This is a Handmade Dragon Katana.

The sword includes a Sword Bag.

Features

Blade: The blade of the sword has been constructed from through hardened high carbon steel with an aesthetic hamon and bohi.
The blade comes very sharp with a full tang.
Saya: The saya is wooden with a black high gloss finish and black cotton sageo.
Tsuba: The blade is secured by a one piece brass habaki. The tsuba is blackened alloy with a dragon wrapped around the blade.
Tsuka: The tsuka features real ray skin samegawa, black cotton ito and two bamboo mekugi.

Love that tsuba!	April 20, 2012

I just had to have a katana with my favorite tsuba of all time. I have the Ryumon tanto with the same tsuba, smaller of course. This katana came boxed under the newer Musha mark, sharpened well with a nicely formed tip. A few drops of super glue inside the mouth of the saya to tighten it up, and I am a happy camper, giving this unit 5 for the price.

I have to admit, I had my doubts when I ordered this sword. The price was very cheap for what the sword is claimed to be by the description. But this sword definitely suprized me. It came in a beautiful saya that is glossy black. There is no wiggle when shaking from the handle. The blad came oiled and very sharp. So far I cannot fault this sword. I highly recommend this katana!!!

Cuts well and makes a bit of sound, so can be used for training if you are allowed something this sharp.
