Product Description

According to Legend Roland was the Chief Paladin of Charlemagne. After being betrayed by one of his fellow knights Roland and his knights were ambushed by a force of 100,000 Saracen warriors at Renceveux. Roland and his knights held off the army of 100,000 but were attacked again by another force of 300,000. Although, Roland holds off the attack and finally defeats the army he dies, from blowing his legendary horn to summon Charlemagne. When Charlemagne finally arrives to he faints from grief when he learns of Roland's death. This is the second generation edition of Durendal, the legendary sword of Roland.

Blade: The blade of the sword is 440 stainless steel with a mirror polished finish. The edge of the sword has been unsharpened, but the point is very sharp. A short ricasso is at the base of the blade with a ridge running the length of the blade. Guard: The guard of the sword is solid steel with two lion heads at each end of the quillons. The arms of the cross bar are patterned steel with a design of laurel leaves. The center of the quillon is rain guard with the ancient symbol of Roland. The Rain guard fits seamlessly into the scabbard throat. Scabbard: The scabbard of the sword is wooden with a dull black finish. The drag of the sword is a steel ball point with Roland initials on each side. The scabbard throat is also steel with Rolands initials. Handle: The handle of the sword is solid steel with steel cords crisscrossing the handle for grip. The sword can be used single handed or double handed. The pommel of the sword is an ornate cross with an aesthetic tang button.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
